Terms and conditions
By accessing, browsing, using and/or completing a reservation through our website or third parties you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions stated below. Accepting those means that you are legally bound by this contract and that you act on behalf of all the other persons named in the booking who partake in the booked tour(s).
Booking and payment
GspotIceland is a tour operator offering day tours and adventure tours in Iceland. Bookings can be made directly through our website www.gspotIceland.com or third party websites through which G spot Iceland makes their services available. If you are having any problems booking through our website, please contact our office at info@gspoticeland.com or by phone +354 7872727
Make sure to fill in and/or provide all necessary details upon booking your tour(s). Once you have completed the booking process, a booking confirmation will follow with your booking number for the services booked.
You are responsible to double check all the details used for booking. In the event of discrepancy or booking mistakes where the wrong date and/or incorrect number of participants was booked, contact G spot Iceland immediately as it may not be possible to make amendments to your reservation closer to the departure date. All amendments have to be confirmed in writing to our email info@gspoticeland.com.
Weather in Iceland
G spot Iceland would like to make sure you understand we can not be held responsible for factors beyond our control. This statement is very true whenever we speak about forces of nature you might come across in Iceland. Our guides are specially trained to deal with changing conditions and their number one priority is to make decisions with your safety in mind.
G spot Iceland reserves the right to change or cancel tour itineraries due to forces of nature, severe weather, dangerous road conditions or any other case defined below as force majeure . Particular route might not be followed or place reached at any moment to assure the safety of passengers and staff.
Force majeure definition :
Force majeure- unusual, unpredictable and unavoidable events beyond the control of the organizer, which is an obstacle to the journey. Events that the organizer could not predict during the time agreement was concluded and the consequences of which the organizer could not reasonably have avoided or overcome. Including but not limited to war, war threats, riots, civil disobedience or strike, government action, terrorist act, natural or industrial disaster, volcanic eruptions, fire, severe weather conditions, water level in rivers or floods, closure of airports, technical or maintenance issues or unforeseen operating decisions by airlines such as changes to the timetable or cancellations.
Illnesses, Disabilities and Medical Problems
Anyone suffering from illness, disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition which may affect their participation in the tour must declare such conditions and provide us with all necessary details in writing. G spot iceland guarantees confidentiality on this matter. If you are unsure as to the suitability of your chosen tour contact us for some advice before processing the booking. In some cases we may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying that you are fit to participate. G spot Iceland would not accept any responsibility if any harm took place to person during tour while we were not notified in writing about any pre existing medical conditions. In such cases, we might reserve the right to exclude such a person from the tour in which case all monies paid will be forfeited and we will not be liable to pay any compensation whatsoever.
For persons with pre-existing conditions including but not limited to: illness, diabetes, pregnancy, asthma, gastric reflux, cancer, heart problems, epilepsy, respiratory or mobility problems we advise you visit a doctor for a personal medical examination whether a tour or tailored arrangement is suitable for you. We do not provide medical advice. It is your responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each aspect of the itinerary based on your own unique circumstances, limitations, fitness level and medical requirements.
Insurance
You MUST arrange by yourself an adequate and suitable travel insurance for the time being of a tour with us. We reserve the right to request a copy of your insurance policy although we will not check this policy for suitability, and it will remain your responsibility at all times to ensure that you’re adequately insured.
A suitable insurance policy should provide adequate cover for medical expenses arising from illness or accident prior to or during the tour and loss of holiday monies through cancellation and curtailment of a tour for insurable reasons. You must be satisfied that your insurance fully covers all your personal requirements including pre-existing medical conditions.
If you make your own insurance arrangements, you should ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities you will be undertaking during your tour. You should also ensure that your insurance policy will cover you for any independent arrangements, excursions or other activities that you may book to take part in our tour and which do not form part of your booking or contract with us.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking, without any liability for refunds, of any customer who cannot satisfy us that they have purchased suitable travel insurance in accordance with this clause. Furthermore, if you choose to travel with inadequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.
Guests are advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and they must behave in accordance with GspotIceland guidelines and must take proper responsibility for their own safety.
Incidents, accidents, mishaps that occur during the activity have to be reported immediately to lead guide, which would fill incident report form onsite or within 24hrs after the tour had finished for any insurance claims as well as for ou internal standard operating procedures updates.
All luggage and personal equipment are, at all times, at your own risk. We will not be responsible whatsoever for any loss, damage to your luggage and/or personal equipment.
Expected behaviour
All our customers are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others. If in our opinion or in the opinion or any other person in authority, your behaviour or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other customers or any third party, or damage to property, or to cause a delay or tour diversion, we reserve the right to terminate your booking with us immediately. In the event of such termination our liability to you and/or your party will cease immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refunds will be made, and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination. You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party.
We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behaviour of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us.
Children whereas participating in excursions have to be accompanied by an adult, be under their supervision and are travelling under adults responsibility.
Drugs and alcohol
G spot Iceland reserves the right to refuse participation to clients we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in such circumstances, no refund shall be given. Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence, upset or put other passengers in danger. In such cases, cancelation will be made with no refund.
Our Liability & Compensation
G spot Iceland will accept liability for the negligence of its employees causing direct physical injury to passengers only to the extent that it is obliged under Icelandic law. We cannot be held responsible for any mishap to yourself or your property, and in particular for the consequences of flight cancellations, vehicle accidents, strikes, sickness, government or customs or police intervention or other such happenings defined as force majeure. Should it happen you will want to file a complaint in regards to our service make sure you will send it in writing to info@gspoticeland.com within 48 hours from the completion of the tour, otherwise possible compensation would not be valid.
Pick up
You will be picked up at chosen location and starting time. If you do not show up for the scheduled pickup time and location agreed after booking, your reservation is non refundable. If you do not know your pickup location at the time of booking, you can choose to update your pick up location no later than 12 hours before tour departure. Pick up location has to be confirmed in writing via info@gspoticeland.com, text message or message via any other communicator used by G spot Iceland. If our office will not receive information about your pick up location 12 hours before departure, we cannot be held responsible if you miss the tour.
Meeting point
If you are planning to meet us on location for your tour then please be sure that this can be arranged. For some of GspotIceland tours, it is possible to meet us on location. Please contact info@gspotIceland.com to get detailed information. Please note that if you do not arrive on time for your tour and/or are late to the meeting point of the tour, your tour might be cancelled or it might be altered without our liability to refund you.
Cancellations or changes by customer
All communications relating to changes or cancellations have to be brought to our attention by the lead traveler in writing to info@gspotIcleand.com. Cancellation or amendment needs to be confirmed by G spot Iceland before further action can be taken. If a reimbursement is in order then it shall be processed within 7 working days either to credit card used for booking or to bank account stated by customer.
Please note that we can not be responsible for delays of reimbursement to your account once it has been processed by us. For tours purchased through another vendor please process in accordance to vendor’s procedures for changes or refunds and/or cancellations.
You can cancel your day tours up to 10 days before the departure time of the tour to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 10 days to 48 hours to departure time you will receive 50 % refund. No refund is given if a tour is cancelled within less than 48 hours before departure.
However due to unforeseen situations if you will have to change the date of your departure, it’s up to 48hrs before the original date of departure and there is availability on different date G spot Iceland can offer one swap free of charge.
Changes or cancellation by G spot Iceland
If parts of the tour cannot be provided under the agreement after the start of the tour, suitable alternatives will be arranged by G spot Iceland to try to compensate at no extra cost. We will only cancel tour if circumstances beyond our control make it unavoidable. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, civil or political unrest, terrorism, natural disaster, or other force majeure circumstance. In the unlikely event that such circumstances arise, we will contact you immediately and offer you the choice of equivalent services on different dates. No additional compensation will be paid over and above the total sum received from you. A tour cancellation made by G spot Iceland for reasons other than those mentioned above is entitled to a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel the tour(s) if no contact with guest has been successful up to 12 hours prior to departure.
Rental of equipment
Extras and rental gear can both be added during booking. If you have already made a reservation with us and would like to add any extras and/or rental gear to your reservation then please contact us on info@gspoticeland.com . Please note that all extras and rental gear reservations are final and non refundable.
Prices and currency
All prices for the services provided by G spot Iceland are currency chosen on time of booking. We are not responsible for currency fluctuations and or additional fees that may be applied such as: bank transfer fees, credit card fees, and other.
Personal data
By booking a tour with us you give us consent to use of your personal data and confirm you are authorised on behalf of all persons named on the booking to disclose their personal details to us, including where applicable special categories of data (such as information on health conditions or disabilities and dietary requirements);
Your personal data information is protected and stored at our booking system for one year. If you do not wish us to store your data after we provided service you need to inform us in writing via info@gspoticeland.com
During our tours you can be photographed or filmed for commercial purposes and you are obliged to inform us if you do not approve of this. All material is the property of G spot Iceland and we reserve the right to use the material to inspire more people to try our services.
